Lakewood Pet Examiner: "Cat Care Society gearing up for thrift store remodel with huge sale"

Quoting from Carrie Dow's recent posting:

"Cajun's Closet, a thrift store that supports the Cat Care Society in Lakewood, is preparing to close it doors. In two weeks it will re-open as the new and improved "The Closet" at the Cat Care Society. That's means the community can get in on some awesome deals as the store has a sale to clear out the old and bring in even more near new.

On Saturday, August 20, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the thrift store that received the 2009 "Best of Lakewood" Award is having a "Renovation Sale." Shoppers will get 75% off most merchandise. They are also having a "Make an Offer" special on antiques and there is a Fill-a-Bag Clothing Extravaganza.

Don't forget to "shop" for a new kitty too! This month only all cats one year or older are $30, a savings of $60."

‎9News Denver: Another poignant reminder that we shouldn't let our cats roam outside

Quoting from the 9News website:

"LAKEWOOD - Neighbors say cats are disappearing almost daily in the area near the Denver Federal Center and nobody can explain it. They emailed 9NEWS asking us to find answers and we checked with Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Lakewood Animal Control.

Posters for missing cats have been appearing on telephone poles all over the neighborhood near South Taft Street and West Dakota Drive in Lakewood."
